Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for PC, PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One Announced

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Darksiders, one of last generation's underrated games will be remastered
  • It will be available on the PC, PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One
  • No release date has been announced yet
Darksiders was one of last generation's underrated games. This hack and slash adventure released in 2010 and sported a unique premise. It had you in the role of War - one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse set in a universe created by acclaimed comics writer and artist Joe Madureira.
Since then, THQ, the company behind the series has folded and its rights lie with publisher Nordic Games. While it has hinted at a new entry in the series, it has also released a remastered version of the second game dubbed, Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Now, Nordic Games has announced that the game that started it all, Darksiders will be getting a remaster as well. It's called Darksiders: Warmastered Edition. And it will be available on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition has native 1080p resolution, double the texture resolution, improved rendering, enhanced post-processing effects, and 60 frames per second gameplay on all devices except the Wii U which gets 30fps. It has no release date at the moment.
The first Darksiders was notoriously hard to find in India, so much so that many a gamer had to resort to importing it at the time. With Nordic Games' titles available via Origin Marketing (not to be confused with EA's Origin storefront), there's a good chance we'd see Darksiders: Warmastered Edition available in India when a release date is announced.
