All the cool new gadgets at CES 2016 - ModiFace Mirror

ModiFace Mirror

For some women, trying on makeup got old by the time we graduated high school. But you really can't buy it without seeing it on your skin -- unless you don't mind wasting a lot of money. Modiface tackles this issue with a combination of software and a mirror, letting you overlay different options over your reflection. (The free ModiFace Live app for Android and iOS does something similar on your smartphone.) It won't improve your taste, but it can compensate for horrible store lighting. The mirror isn't an end-user product, but you'll likely see it at retail.
I wear makeup. I shop for makeup. But experimenting with new looks can be a time-consuming gambit, and an expensive one. So imagine going to the makeup counter and gazing into a mirror for a few minutes to virtually apply a dozen different shades and styles. If you're short on time, it'd be much faster than getting a full in-store makeover, and would let you consider new color combinations you may not otherwise try.
ModiFace is the company behind a mirror you could one day soon see at your favorite cosmetics counter. It supplies the software-plus-mirror combination to brands like L'Oreal, a current client, to enhance your reflection with anywhere from 10 to 15 makeup combinations.
