The Finnish company Nokia is trying its luck once again at smartphone manufacturing, and this time things look certain as Nokia is about to re-enter the smartphone market at MWC 2017 to be held in Barcelona. The company behind the Nokia's smartphone launch - HMD Global - has confirmed that it will attend MWC next year. A handful of mid-range and top-end Nokia smartphones have already been spotted on benchmark sites. Now, there is a new entrant to the list that has appeared on Geekbench with specifications that point to it being an entry-level device.
As per the Geekbench listing, a new entry level device with the name Nokia Pixel is seen running Android 7.0.1 Nougat. The smartphone is also seen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. The CPU is a dual-core variant at a clock speed of 1.19GHz. It is also said to support Quick Charge 3.0 technology inside to charge the battery. Under the tests run by Geekbench, the Nokia Pixel scored 404 on the single-core test while it resulted with 661 on the multi-core test. It is likely the name of the smartphone will change before being commercially launched.
